Friday, January 13, 2012 17 and 18 apparatus along with Ladder 57 were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire.  DC87 went on scene with fire showing from a second floor bedroom on the "B" side of a twin residential dwelling.  Engine 17 went on scene and hit the hydrant and pulled an 1 3/4" to the second floor.  Engine 57 was in the area and took in Ladder 57s assignment and pulled a backup line.  Tower 18 went on scene soon after and put the main in service and laddered the dwelling.  The fire was held to the outside wall.  Crews were back in service within 3 hours.
