Wednesday, December 14, 2011 Companies were dispatched for a reported hazmat incident on Rt. 309 in the area of Trumbaursville Rd.  BC18 was 1st on scene and confirmed a tractor trailer heading southbound had to make an abrupt stop and his load of lead base sludge had shifted out the front of the container.  The Rescue was the first apparatus on scene and went to work to prevent any runoff into the storm drains.  Crews were on scene for approximately 3 hrs until the hazardous materials were cleaned off the highway by a cleanup crew.
