Companies were dispatched for a building fire at the Strayer Middle School after staff found a smoke condition in the auditorium. Engine 17-1 and Tower 18 with Chief 87 on board arrived on scene and reported a smoke condition above the stage. Rescue 58 and Rescue 56 crews went to the interior to assist the Tower and Engine while Tower 26 handled roof operations. Engine 36 took the hydrant assignment. Crews found the source to be an air handler. Also on the call were Squirt 18, Engine 17 and Tower 27. Cover companies on the assignment were: Rescue 49 and Montco Tower 74.
